TUMBO Purée

Passiflora tripartita

Tumbo, also known as banana passionfruit, is a Passiflora variety from the Andeans. Its fruit contains a fragrant, tangy pulp rich in vitamin C and antioxidants. Pre-Columbian civilizations used its pulp much like lemons are used today, to make refreshing drinks and to acidify dishes such as ceviche, long before lemons were introduced to the Americas.
